The AMD RX 500X Series confirmed on AMD's own website

Confirmed, by AMD's own website, the existence of the AMD RX 500X Series, the company's new graphics, which could be based on the 12nm process.

A few days ago we echoed the rumor of the possible appearance this summer of the AMD RX 500X Series graphics cards, new graphics cards, which are nothing more than a rehash of a rehash and that demonstrates the inability of AMD to deal with graphics from NVIDIA. The company to date has not said anything about these graphics cards, simply remaining as a rumor, but the company's website, would have leaked these new AMD RX 500X graphics cards.

Last September, the company talked about the new 12nm Leading Performance process, developed by GlobalFoundries, initially intended for the AMD RX Vega. It seems that the company's plans have changed throughout the year, in fact, since AMD has not made, to date, any mention of 12nm, it does not even appear in the Roadmap presented at CES 2018 , held in early January.

This idea led many to think that AMD did not think about this manufacturing process and that it wanted to take a more important leap for graphics. Nothing is known so far about the company's graphics plans, except that this year the Vega Nano should appear, a graphic that we have already seen and of which nothing else has been known and improved variants of the Vega are also expected. 56 and Vega 64, hopefully with better consumption.

On these AMD RX 500X Series, it would be logical to think that they go to 12nm, but these graphics cards are not expected to give a much higher performance, with respect to the current graphics, at best and being optimistic of 10%. The normal thing is that consumption was also reduced, not excessively, but hey, something is something.

  1. as they continue like this, Nvidia does not release anything new in 2 years or more, because for the competition they are doing ...

  2. It is a rehash of a rehash it does not matter, Nvidia has been doing that for years and it lives on, rehashes.
