It is leaked that AMD RX Vega 64 graphics cards would not perform as well as originally claimed, not approaching 100MH / s or as a joke, TweakTown commented on Facebook.
Problems start to appear even before the release of the AMD RX Vega. What we know for sure is that these graphics cards will perform similarly to NVIDIA's GTX 1080s and the price will also be quite similar, with AMD's benchmark models. Everything indicates that the Vega will have a very high consumption, as Gigabyte has shown, recommending at least a 750W power supply, but the last thing is that it would not perform as well as expected for cryptocurrency mining.
TweakTown a few days ago leaked information that said that these Vega 64s would be around 70-100MH / s for mining, but they have commented on their Facebook account that such mining power will not be a reality. They have uploaded a capture of an RX Vega being tested in ClaymoreAMD and apparently after the test they have seen that 100MH / s nothing at all. From this means they assure that the version with Liquid cooling does not even jokingly reach that mining power, therefore, the mining power will be much lower than what has been said in the first instance.
This is a new stone in AMD's shoe. Although, with that of 50MH / s, this will fly off the shelves, this is a reality and is that the target audience, with the performance seen, is the mining one. Now it only remains that these graphics cards do not reach the market in limited quantities, as happened with the AMD RX 400 Series and it is expected that by the end of September the different models customized by each of the manufacturers will arrive.
