AMD plans to launch the APUs based on the Zen architecture in the second half of the year, possibly shortly after the arrival of the AMD Ryzen 3 or even at the same time.
The arrival of the AMD Ryzen 7 is imminent, we already know that they will arrive on March 2, the AMD Ryzen 5 will arrive during the second quarter and these will have two divisions, four with six cores and twelve processing threads and another four with four cores and eight processing threads, while during the second half of the year the AMD Ryzen 3 with four cores and four processing threads will arrive. According to the company, the new APUs won't be seen until the second half of years.
There is no date yet, but Ryzen APUs based on the Zen architecture would arrive in the middle of the year for the Summit Ridge platform and would not require a new socket, as they would also be based on the AM4 socket. These new processors would have four cores for the most part and a more discrete version with two cores is not ruled out and they would integrate graphics, possibly from the Polaris architecture and the most powerful would opt for the Vega architecture.

Regarding these APUs, the company continues with its tendency to develop custom APUs for those manufacturers that request it, a clear example is Project Scorpio, the new Microsoft console that will carry an APU developed ex-process for the console and that could have eight cores based on the architecture and graphics based on a Vega GPU to move games in 4K. Sony could also go for a custom APU for the PlayStation 5.
These new APUs are intended for embedded equipment, HTPC and portable equipment, which will be able to improve power using AMD chips based on the Zen architecture in combination with the Vega graphics architecture. It is possible that after the arrival of the AMD Ryzen 5 and before the arrival of the AMD Ryzen 3 we will know more information about the APUs based on the Zen architecture.

So it would be for example to have in a processor the power of an rx460? If so, for 500/600 a pc for my father would be great
Only the highest ranges would be VEGA based, the rest of the mid and low range Ryzen APUs would be Polaris
