Motherboards for the AMD Ryzen Threadripper will be shown in a webinar on Tuesday, July 25

AMD has mounted a webinar next Tuesday, July 25, where a large number of motherboards for AMD Ryzen Threadripper processors will be presented.

Before the official presentation of the AMD RX Vega, we have attended a kind of tour of a team with one of these graphics for some events, before its presentation at SIGGRAPH 2015. The idea seems to be repeated with the AMD Ryzen Threadripper , which before being shown at the Los Angeles event before reaching the market, AMD would have mounted a webinar called 'Meet the Experts', which will be focused not on the Threadripper, it will be focused on the motherboards for these processors and that It will take place next Tuesday, July 25, where some technical data of these motherboards will be given and some models will be presented.

The official launch of Threadripper, the high-end processors of AMD, the first of the company, will arrive shortly and will have the new AMD X399 chipset, which has a name excessively similar to the Intel X299 chipset, with which the confusion will be to the order of the day. The price of these processors for the high-end is already known and will be, as expected, considerably lower than that of Intel processors. AMD and Intel, have a few words about the size of the processor, saying Intel to a bad idea that the Threadripper are four quad-core processors joined with glue, which although, they are not lacking, the truth is that they are modular processors, something in what NVIDIA would be working for their graphics cards.

The motherboards for these processors will not be a problem, since we have seen how ASUS, MSI, Gigabyte and ASRock motherboards have been leaked, although the heatsinks do present themselves as a problem. Only Arctic has announced liquid cooling systems compatible with these processors, while Noctua presented several prototypes, but I already warned that they would not be ready for the launch of Threadripper and that is that the HIS of these processors is almost double that of a Ryzen 7, for example and requires ex-process developed heatsinks for these processors.

Regarding the motherboards of MSI, ASUS, Gigabyte and ASRock, in the high range they will have between four and five PCIe x16 ports, probably all shielded, they will offer eight DDR4 DIMM sockets to support Quad Channel and they should support at least two M. 2 SSD, but more, among a large number of extras, especially we will see RGB LEDs in large numbers, something that on paper is very beautiful, but has little use. You know, on Tuesday everyone pay attention, that motherboards are going to be leaked in droves.
