Shown the first data of the new AMD Ryzen 2 processors that will begin to arrive in the first quarter of 2018 and that will be manufactured in 12nm.
We know that AMD will develop the second generation AMD Ryzen processors under the 12nm manufacturing process and that it will be launched in 2018, specifically during the first quarter of the year. These new processors will also have the name of Ryzen 7, Ryzen 5 and Ryzen 3, but these will be the 200 Series, which will also bring a new manufacturing process, an improvement in working frequencies and an increase in the capacity of overclocking, as well as even faster DDR4 memory acceptance.
AMD's idea is more or less the same as with the current Ryzen processors, they will first launch the Ryzen 7 2000 around the end of February and in March they will launch the Ryzen 5 2000 and the Ryzen 3 2000. These processors will make use of the manufacturing process 'Leading Performance' developed by GlobalFoundries, making use of the Zen + microarchitecture, which will allow to offer improved processors. This new architecture, in addition to being developed in 12nm and improving working frequencies, will also implement an improvement in energy efficiency. The new family of Ryzen processors could go up to 4.2-4.4GHz in high-end processors, allowing an improvement of several hundred megahertz.
Pinnacle Ridge will also offer frequency improvements in terms of support for DDR4 memory, offering a significant performance improvement and an improvement in computing power. Additionally, it is expected that the laptop and low-power versions of these Pinnacle Ridge will arrive in the month of April, in addition, the second generation of Ryzen Pro processors, will hit the market in the month of May. The motherboards will also be the same, although two new chipsets from the AMD 400 Series family will arrive, specifically the X470 for the high-end and the B450 for the mid-range.
