The 10 best-selling games of Week 18 on Steam

We bring you, as usual, the list of the ten best-selling games on Steam last week, where Prey enters strongly to second place but cannot remove the crown from the Playerunknown's Battlegrounds game, which has reigned since it arrived on Steam.

As every week we bring you the ten best-selling games on Steam last week. As we see, Playerunknown's Battlegrounds continues to reign on Steam as the best-selling game and not even the arrival of Prey on Steam, a highly anticipated game, has managed to dethrone it from this position. The third place of the best-selling games on Steam is Rocket League and from the list there is no way to remove Counter Strike: Global Offensive, which this week is in fourth place. NieR: Automata and Warhammer 40.000: Dawn of War III, close the list of the ten best-selling games on Steam during the past week.


1. Playerunknown's Battlegrounds


PLAYERUNKNOWN'S BATTLEGROUNDS is a shooter based on Battle Royale mode which is being developed through feedback with the community. Starting from scratch, users have to fight each other to locate weapons and supplies to be the only survivor. This high-tension realistic game is set on a massive 8 × 8 km island with a level of detail that showcases the capabilities of Unreal Engine 4.

2 Prey


In Prey you will wake up aboard the Talos I, an orbiting space station around the Moon in the year 2032. You are the key subject of an experiment that hopes to change humanity forever ... but things have gotten terribly complicated. The space station has been invaded by hostile aliens who want to hunt you down. As you investigate the dark secrets of Talos I and your own past, you will have to survive thanks to the tools you find at the station, as well as your wits, weapons and incredible abilities. The fate of Talos I and everyone on board is in your hands.

3. Rocket League (-30%)


The game resembles soccer, but using vehicles instead of players and a large ball. In the matches they can participate from 1 vs 1 to 4 vs 4 players distributed in two teams, orange and blue. Each vehicle can use extra propulsion, both to accelerate and to move through the air, this being a fundamental characteristic of the game. This propulsion can be recharged by means of packs distributed on the playing field and that continually reappear. The matches last 5 minutes, playing an indefinite extra time in case of a tie.


4. Counter-Strike: Global Offensive


Counter-Strike: Global Offensive (CS: GO) will expand team action gameplay which pioneered its launch 12 years ago.

CS: GO will include new maps, characters and weapons and will offer updated versions of classic CS content (de_dust, etc.). Additionally, CS: GO will introduce new game modes, matchmaking, leaderboards, and much more.

“Counter-Strike took the gaming industry by storm when, against all odds, the MOD became the most-played online PC action game in the world upon its release in August 1999,” said Valve’s Doug Lombardi. “Over the past 12 years, it has remained one of the most-played games in the world, a fixture in competitive gaming tournaments, and has sold over 25 million copies worldwide. CS:GO promises to expand the acclaimed gameplay of CS:GO and bring it to PC gamers as well as those on next-gen consoles and Mac.”


5. H1Z1: King of the Kill


Videogame post apocalyptic zombie survival that has a free-to-play model and microtransactions, and that challenges the player to survive doing all kinds of crafting tasks. The video game is set in an apocalyptic world, where players have to survive hordes of zombies along with more hostile survivors who fight and kill for resources.


6. Grand Theft Auto V


Nine years after a botched robbery in Ludendorff (North Yankton), which left one perpetrator dead, another under arrest and forced a third to go into hiding, former bank robber Michael Townley was presumed dead in North Yankton and has been placed under witness protection by the corrupt FIB agent Dave Norton, a close friend of the same, thus transferring him with his family to Los Santos (San Andreas) with a new identity: "Michael De Santa." Franklin Clinton, who works as a vehicle repossessor at a car dealership, along with his friend Lamar Davis, is asked to repossess a vehicle belonging to Michael's son Jimmy, who is behind in paying for his acquisition. Concerning that his son is about to become a victim of credit fraud, Michael hides in the vehicle and confronts Franklin.
