Thanks to the latest AMD Radeon Crimson 17.3.2 driver update, we know that AMD will release the RX 500 Series graphics cards based on Polaris 10 and Polaris 11.

The latest update of AMD drivers has left us an interesting surprise and that is that someone has fiddled with the code of the latest drivers of the company and has found confirmation of the new AMD RX 580 and AMD RX 570 graphics cards, which are based on Polaris 10. This will probably be the only confirmation of these graphics cards before launch, although some image leakage and benchmark a week or two on the RX 500 Series can also be expected before they hit the market.

Within the latest AMD Radeon Crimson 17.3.2 drivers we can see that the RX 580 and RX 570 graphics cards appear within the graphics cards with AMD67DF encoding, which is the technical nomenclature belonging to all graphics cards based on Polaris 10, so so much is confirmed, if possible, that they are a simple rehash. We can also see the reference 67EF within the RX 500 Series family, which identifies the graphics cards based on Polaris 11, which will be used, as we see in the RX 560. This graphics card will hardly differ from the RX 460, since both they will have the same number of nuclei.

It is striking that within the list we do not find the RX 550, so this graphics card could be based on Polaris 12, although there is no data on this. The only thing we know is that the idea of ​​AMD is quite rare, since an improvement of maximum 10% does not justify the launch of these graphics cards and more so considering that it will only serve to make the RX 580 reach or slightly exceed the NVIDIA GTX 1070, which does not make sense with the launch of the GTX 1080 Ti and less if we consider that at the end of the year NVIDIA launched the graphics with GPU Volta to the market.
