Mining Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies with your smartphone is a horrible idea and more so with Minergate

Do not even think about putting your smartphone to mine Bitcoin or another cryptocurrency with Minergate or any other application from the Google Play Store, because we will charge the smartphone.

As you can see, we usually bring you technical information about cryptocurrency mining and we always warn of the risks of mining with hardware and the returns, we have never gotten into these aspects. We also talked about which are the best coins to mine and recently we have published a miner for MonaCoin and Vertcoin that gives 15% more performance than the miner that is available. This post is to advise against all users to do the sovereign stupidity of mining Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies with the smartphone, because we will get a pittance and destroy the mobile.

It seems that everyone wants to attract traffic with the excuse of cryptocurrency mining and this growing and increasingly popular market. Smartphones are not at all a good option for mining, what's more, it is the last thing we would recommend, since we will destroy the battery and the processor, causing a brutal heating to the processor, for which it has not been designed and will end up giving problems of performance and autonomy, but worse. We also do not recommend mining with Minergate, since the power it throws is not the real one and the reward is less than if we mine directly and they stay on a 5% fee.

Last September I changed my smartphone and I decided to test my BQ Aquaris M5, with which the battery began to last less and less, up to ten minutes and even having it connected to a charger and even so the battery plummeted. Another aspect is that the terminal burned, literally, because the processor was subjected to an effort for which it is not intended and the cooling system of a smartphone is minimal, not to say that it is practically nil.

The practice of mining with a smartphone, hopefully it will give us $ 1 a month and we will only destroy the terminal. If you have an old mobile and you don't care what happens to it, you can use it without problems to mine with Minergate or another solution you are looking for, but if it is a new terminal and you are not going to change it in a short time, doing this is a complete stupidity. We reiterate that these media that decide to say that you can mine with the smartphone and there is no problem and you can get some income, does not tell the whole truth, because they are kind.
