Minecraft: Avatar Maker Available in Beta
Minecraft is going to put a way to create our avatars in the game. There will be microtransactions to purchase certain additional parts.
Being Minecraft a game with a high social component, customizing your character with a special appearance is one of the key pillars for this aspect. It would be very impractical and very boring to see that all the characters of your friends are the same Steve, and therefore a community with special skins and a thematic skin market has been created.
Customize your character in Minecraft
Now they are going to give all Minecraft players the ability to customize their in-game avatar. And we are not saying that they are going to put more DLCs or allow small visual mods on consoles. We mean that they are going to put a tool to create a special avatar in the game.
This feature is now available in the beta of the game on PC, and they have confirmed that it will reach the current mobile and console versions when they can. Sorry users still playing on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, Nintendo 3DS, PlayStation Vita, or Wii U.
Now comes the "but" and that is that many elements of this tool will be blocked under payments using a virtual currency that is obtained with real money. Microtransactions in Minecraft for a tool that on PC is much better thanks to an altruistic community. But this is intended for the little ones who play on the console and none of the skin DLCs like those of Duck adventures or Doctor Who out there does not convince them. Mojang has already confirmed that they will not eliminate the option to use custom skins in the Windows 10 and mobile versions, which will be a totally separate option that will not replace this important part of the community.
