The average age of Minecraft players is 24 years old.

Minecraft is not only played by young children, it is also played by adults. The game has even more players than Fortnite.

Over the years, Minecraft has been accused of being a particularly childish game that only children like. Along with having a high amount of content on YouTube focused on children, the game is relatively simple, undemanding and its philosophy is very close to that of LEGOs of building things using the imagination. But this is what makes it not just a game for children according to recent data published by Microsoft.

Many adults play Minecraft

Helen Chiang, who is in charge of managing the Minecraft brand for Microsoft, commented in a recent interview with EDGE magazine that the average age of its players far exceeds the age of majority. According to her, the average age of the players is 24 years.

An average gamer can smoke, drink, drive, get a tattoo, and get married without asking their parents for permission. It is true that a high number of users are minors and therefore they must monitor the content and monetization.

But beware, Chiang talks about the average age of all the players. Anyone who knows statistics knows that the mean is calculated by calculating all the values, and that includes from kids of eight years to people who reach thirty or forty years. It shows us that Minecraft really is a game for everyone. Possibly because the creative mode is used to make huge creations and even applies programming aspects, it is understandable that the average age is so high. Now ... What would be the average age (put all the ages in a row from the lowest to the highest and find the middle point)? This way we avoid that players of very high or very low age vary the result.
