SMI's range of gaming laptops has been expanded with two new gaming equipment belonging to the mid-range, specifically the MSI GP62X Leopard Pro and the MSI GP72X Leopard Pro. The two laptops are very similar, the difference between the two is that the first has a 15.6 ”IPS screen and the second has a 17.3” IPS screen. They both have a 120Hz refresh rate and a 5ms response time.
As a core, these computers have an Intel Core i7 7700HQ processor, which works at a frequency of 3.8GHz. 16GB of DDR4 RAM memory expandable to 32GB has been provided for these computers and a 1060GB GDDR3 GTX 5 has been installed as a graphics card. An unspecified size M.2 SSD has been integrated and a 1TB mechanical hard drive has been installed as a secondary storage unit.
The 17.3 ”computer has a unique specification, such as a DVD Super Multi drive. Regarding the rest of the features, the two share similar characteristics, incorporating both HD Webcam, SteelSeries keyboard that has RGB LED lighting for each customizable key, Killer 2400 Ethernet connectivity that offers 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.2. Both teams have four integrated speakers of 2W each, a USB 3.1 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 and a USB 2.0, it has an SD card reader and for video outputs a mini DisplayPort 1.4 and HDMI 2.0 have been arranged.
MSI has provided both the MSI GP62X Leopard Pro and the MSI GP72X Leopard Pro the advanced Cooler Boost 4 cooling system, which relies on six dedicated heatpipes for the processor and graphics card, as well as two fans to efficiently dissipate heat. . No data has been given regarding the price.
