Low profile MSI GTX 1050Ti for compact rigs

MSI has released the low-profile MSI GTX 1050Ti graphics card, although it is dual-slot.

Graphics cards are increasing in popularity as more and more compact PCs and HTPCs are gaining ground. For those compact computers that require graphic power for gaming or other solutions that require graphics, low profile graphic cards are developed. They are designed for narrow towers and towers with limitation in the PCIe area. MSI thinking about this type of equipment has developed the MSI GTX 1050Ti solution.

This MSI graphics card is characterized by being low profile, which means that it has a PCB with smaller dimensions thinking in those chassis that require compact graphics. Logically, this GTX 1050Ti from MSI has the benefits of the NVIDIA Pascal architecture. Not only is it a compact PCB, this graphics card is low consumption and does not require extra power connectors, as it is powered directly through the PCIe port.

Regarding the technical characteristics of this graphics card, it works at a frequency of 1290MHz, being able to reach up to 1392MHz in Boost mode. MSI's GTX 1050Ti also has 4GB of GDDR5 memory running at 7GHz. Although this graphic is compact in size, it has a powerful heatsink with two fans for powerful and efficient cooling. The heatsink has a drawback, since it is a bit large, turning the graphics card into a double slot, which can cause problems as compact towers.

Because this graphics card is a double slot, the MSI GTX 1050Ti offers us a DVI-DL port, HDMI 2.0b and a DisplayPort 1.4 port. It has great video connectivity, so we shouldn't have a problem connecting it to monitors or televisions. It is not known when this graphics card will be available for sale and neither is its price.
