MSI shows its first monitor, the Optix G27C

The new MSI Optix G27C monitor has been designed for demanding gamers who want to enjoy a total experience.

Very recently we knew about ASUS panels with respect to the monitor market, well, now MSI presents the first monitor intended for gaming. Specifically, MSI has announced the MSI Optix G27C monitor. With this monitor, the company expands its range of gaming products, which stands out for having high-quality equipment, extreme hardware and the latest, a special backpack-computer for virtual reality, which has not left anyone indifferent.

This new monitor will have a 27-inch FullHD screen and will have an R1800 curvature. The curved panel has been supplied by Samsung, according to MSI, and this panel is VA type with a maximum refresh rate of 144Hz. It could be that this panel is the same one that Samsung has installed in its new C27FG70 gaming monitor and it is also possible that it has the same characteristics, such as the sRGB color gamut, which means an improvement in the coverage of 20 % compared to standard monitors.

MSI's promotional page highlights the credentials of this new monitor. It features enhanced QD color, a higher refresh rate, and an immersive curvature, all of which contribute to a more engaging gaming experience. It also boasts extremely wide viewing angles, a 3000:1 contrast ratio, and eye-care technologies such as blue light reduction and flicker-free technology.

This monitor has a control panel called MSI Gaming Center, which allows you to modify many of the monitor's parameters. MSI offers the 'FPS front sight' profile, which is a special targeting overlay mode for FPS games. It has seven profiles pre-configurations to cover the needs of users, among which are FPS, RTS / RPG, a view care mode and various cinema modes. We can also configure three profiles that we can save and load when we need.

If we want more, this monitor integrates AMD FreeSync technology, although this isn't mentioned on the product page. We don't have official information on the price or release date, but Newegg Canada lists it at $460.
