Netflix raises the price of its Standard and Premium packages, without prior notice, confirming previous rumors and this causes it to also go up in the stock market.

The most important legal digital content platform at the moment is Netflix, which has its own production of series and movies. Well, this platform has just made the global price increase official, so we will be forced, also in Spain, to pay more for this service. The price increase is not as big as that of Amazon in its Prime service, only € 1 goes up in the standard service that offers high definition (HD) content, and € 2 more in the service with 4K content.

There is no official announcement about the price increase, the pricing has simply been modified, something that can be seen if we enter the registration page, where we will see the new prices. The Netflix Basic package does not suffer changes in terms of price, costing € 7.99. This service does not offer HD content, so the quality is the most basic and it only offers us to see the content on one device at the same time, allowing, yes, to see the content in the Smartphone application and the catalog is complete.

The Standard packages change, which goes from costing € 9.99 to € 10.99, offering this package content in HD quality and being able to watch it on two devices simultaneously. The Premium package, which is the most complete, goes from € 11.99 to € 13.99 and what it offers us is to enjoy up to four devices at the same time and enjoy Ultra HD (4K) resolutions.

These changes also come to the United States, changing rates to $ 7.99, $ 8.99 and $ 13.99, matching prices in dollars and euros. After raising these prices by Netflix, the company is rising significantly in the stock market.
