Nicolas Maduro talks again about Petro, Venezuela's scam cryptocurrency

It seems that the Petro scam is continuing, organized by Nicolás Maduro, President of Venezuela, who continues with his delusions and that could generate problems for those who invest in it.

We had not heard from Nicolás Maduro and his cryptocurrency for money laundering for a few days. The president of Venezuela has returned to the charge with Petro, announcing the details of the purchase and sale of this cryptocurrency nationally and internationally. State sources have said that in thirty days the Petro presale ends, of which they would have more than 200 purchase offers from 133 countries around the world. We must emphasize that according to the data there are 194 countries in the world and about 12 not recognized as such.

The joke doesn't end there. They have said that the main buyers are Spanish-speaking, highlighting Venezuela, Colombia, Peru, Mexico, Argentina and Spain, but what is more, they have also said that they have bought Petro in the United States, where it is illegal to do so. Maduro has also said that the Superintendency of Cryptocurrencies of Venezuela will contact the buyers.

Data have been given on the currencies used to buy Petro, being 52.7%, bought with dollars, 22.59% bought in yuan, 15.9% bought in euros, 0.7% bought in Bitcoins and 7.9% bought in Ethereum.

The wallets have also been opened and the instructions and training have been given to the state institutions that carry out collections, so that they will have their wallets and be able to charge with Petro, not only at the national level, but also at the international level. The Central Bank of Venezuela is also allowed to collect Petro for the export of gold. Private companies will be able to pay taxes with Petro as well. Since April 20, it is also legal to buy and sell property and real estate in the country with Petro.

Maduro has said that any natural or legal person can buy Petro on the official website with yuan, rubles, Turkish lira, euros, Bitcoin, Ethereum and XEM. The date was given by the president, who said that this term would begin on March 20 and that it would last 15 business days and could be extended later.

Not only that, after a month without knowing anything, he has also said that they will soon launch Petro Oro, which will be backed by gold bars. Maduro has not given more information about this idea and this is the second time he has mentioned it.

We must emphasize that entering this cryptocurrency could lead us to very serious legal problems. The opposition-controlled National Assembly has said this asset is illegal and cannot be backed by national oil, because the country's constitution prevents it. If we buy this currency, they could accuse us of money laundering and attempted theft of goods from the Latin American country. Data that by the way, in some important media in the world of cryptocurrencies have begun to be omitted, for some unknown interest?

  1. Venezuela definitely hurts you, by the way I am going for the Petro since it is the only cryptocurrency that its value does not depend on the BARRIGUSES of the stock exchanges. Don't waste your time, Roberto Solé and let others develop.
