Nintendo 3DS: Several incomplete games would be porting to Switch

The Nintendo 3DS is more than dead and no games are expected for it anymore. The games that were left to come out appear to be coming to Switch.

It's no surprise if we say that Nintendo 3DS is pretty dead. No game is coming for her unless she's a very small indie. Nintendo had plans to release games during the so-called transition period between the launch of the Nintendo Switch and the day that all Nintendo 3DS players have switched to hybrid. It was still profitable to release small development games, but it seems that their time came much earlier than they expected.

Some unfinished 3DS games are coming to Nintendo Switch

In a recent episode of Kinda Funny Games, an insider commented that Nintendo has made the games it had in development for the 3DS move to the Nintendo Switch. This move was declared after the very poor sales of Mario & Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story which led to the bankruptcy of AlphaDream. They only sold 11 copies worldwide in their first month, and the number is unlikely to have risen much since February.

These figures led to Nintendo canceling numerous games on Nintendo 3DS and it would not be a surprise to see them hitting the Switch. Among those games would be a remake of a title from the Fire Emblem franchise and that would be one of the most likely to come out on Nintendo Switch. It would be the second remake of the series that the laptop would have received after Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia and it would show that Nintendo is really taking advantage of the goose that lays the golden eggs that is the series after Fire Emblem Awakening saved it.

One of the games that would not have been saved from the cancellation would have been a new Style Boutique, so for now we are left without the management and fashion series on Nintendo Switch. Of course, this is unconfirmed information and plans are constantly changing, so it is a matter of waiting for this information to be confirmed or denied.
