Las Vegas, January 3, 2017 – Acer has announced the availability of its prestigious Predator 21 X laptop , the world's first device to feature a curved screen. Designed for the most demanding gamers , the Predator 21 X incorporates features never before seen on the market.

Its curved 21-inch IPS screen (with a resolution of 2560 x 1080 and a refresh rate of 120 Hz), offers a truly immersive gaming experience, and also uses Tobii eye-tracking technology. This combination takes PC video games to a new dimension, as this feature allows players to identify enemies, take aim and cover simply by looking at objects on screen in more than 45 titles such as Elite: Dangerous, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided and WATCH DOGS 2 ™. The screen also features NVIDIA® G-SYNC ™ technology, which ensures smooth and crisp gameplay.

Inside this team is a powerful engine waiting to be unleashed: Predator 21 X GX21-71 features two NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1080 graphics cards in SLI and a 7th generation Intel® Core ™ i7820-XNUMXHK processor for a maximum performance and the highest responsiveness.

All this power is supported by a 4 GB DDR2400-64 memory, expandable up to four 512 GB drives with RAID 0 configuration (which includes 2 NVMe PCIe SSDs, which are up to 5 times faster than SATA SSDs); and on a 7200 RPM, 1 TB capacity hard drive. In addition, Killer DoubleShot Pro technology automatically selects the fastest network connection (Ethernet or wireless) and sends all high-priority traffic through that interface, while standard traffic is sent over the other, ensuring that the higher priority traffic is driven by the fastest and safest connecting lane. And the Thunderbolt ™ 3 feature offers speeds of up to 40 Gbps over USB-C.

To dissipate heat effectively without interrupting performance during intense gaming sessions , this laptop also features an advanced cooling architecture: it incorporates 5 system fans (including 3 AeroBlade™ ultra-thin metal fans) and 9 heat pipes. It also includes Acer Dust Defender technology, which eliminates dust buildup and improves heat dissipation; and Acer's CoolBoost application, which adjusts fan airflow to deliver extra cooling performance during heavy use.

Its mechanical keyboard features Cherry® MX Brown switches, capable of individually programmable backlighting and offering up to 16,7 million color options. Users can swap the black W, A, S, and D keys with turquoise ones using the included accessory kit. Its numeric keypad is reversible and can be converted into a precision touchpad .

The Predator 21 X features a new 3-way audio design (treble, mid and bass) that produces Hi-Fi quality sound through 4 speakers (2 tweeters and 2 midranges) and 2 subwoofers to produce a full spectrum of sound.

The pre-installed Acer PredatorSense software allows users to control and customize their entire gaming experience from a central interface, including overclocking options , lighting, and fan control. Additionally, the included XSplit Gamecaster software makes it easy for gamers to record and edit videos and stream them live to their Twitch and YouTube channels.

Above the right side of the keyboard is a maintenance panel that provides access to the RAM modules and a 2,5-inch hard drive. The laptop has an image of a blue dragon on the panel as standard, but this can be personalized with different combinations of drawings, flags and user name. Additionally, the first 300 notebooks will include a limited edition serial number on this panel.

To facilitate and secure transport and storage, each Predator 21 X includes a hard, ultra-resistant and customized sleeve to safely store the laptop and its accessories.

Predator 17 X updates its CPU and GPU for higher performance

The Acer Predator 17 X upgrades its CPU and GPU with a 7th generation Intel Core i7-7820HK processor and an NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics card with 8GB of GDDR5X video memory. Its features include overclocking capabilities , desktop-grade components, and a custom three-fan cooling system with front air intake and a vapor chamber, perfect for peak performance in the most demanding games and virtual reality devices. Its overclocking allows gamers to experience turbo speeds [1] of up to 4.3GHz for the CPU, up to 1732MHz for the GPU, and up to 5.4GHz for VRAM. Gaming becomes more immersive and visuals sharper thanks to its 17,3-inch G-SYNC FHD IPS (1920 x 1080) or UHD IPS (4K 3840 x 2160) display.

The Predator 17 X (GX-792) also incorporates a seventh-generation Intel® Core™ i7-7820HK [2] processor with overclocking capability, up to 64GB of DDR4-2400 memory, and a solid-state drive (SSD)2 NVMe PCIe or RAID of three SSD-SATA 0, for the fastest data transfer speeds.
