AMD Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise 19.Q1 Delivers SOLIDWORKS Performance Improvements, 320+ Zero-Day Certifications, Wireless VR for Workstations, and More
The launch of the new AMD Radeon Pro Software for Business 19.Q1, a driver specially designed for the professional segment, is announced.
AMD has introduced the new Radeon Pro Software Business Driver 19.Q1, which will accelerate product design workflows with a host of features designed to maximize productivity for designers and engineers, including:
- Performance improvements: 19.Q1 helps deliver substantially higher performance, up to 46% more than the competition, when using Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS® 2019. Additionally, performance has increased year over year: for example, AMD Radeon Pro Software for Business 19. Q1 is up to 33% faster in SPECviewperf® 13 medical-02 than 18.Q1.
- ISV “Day Zero” Certifications: 19Q1 launches with over 320 ISV “Day Zero” application certifications for Radeon Pro graphics cards including: Autodesk 3ds Max, Autodesk Inventor, Autodesk Maya, Autodesk VRED Professional, Bentley Systems Microstation Graphisoft Archicad, SideFX Houdini, SIEMENS NX, SIEMENS Solid Edge. As with last quarter’s driver, AMD Radeon Pro Software for Enterprise had approximately 40% more certifications in select applications than the competition.
- Ready for AMD Radeon Pro ReLive for VR- Uses the wireless AMD Radeon Pro ReLive client application for OpenVR-based workstations and connected to AMD Radeon VR Ready Creator graphics cards. Its hardware compatibility is future proof with the future availability of standalone VR headsets with full 6DoF support. It enables easy, untethered, immersive VR product design visualization, using SteamVR and VR visualization applications like Unreal Studio and SOLIDWORKS eDrawings.
- AMD Radeon Pro Image Boost- Enables professional applications to output at a higher resolution (up to 5K) and then down to the lowest native screen resolution, to present complex and detailed designs with the best image quality regardless of screen resolution at the be used.
- AMD Remote Workstation- The AMD Remote Workstation has been updated to support virtualization and streaming of applications using Citrix virtual desktops and applications (formerly XenApp and XenDesktop), enabling much higher density than traditional desktop virtualization for professionals who work remotely.
- “One Driver” for ALL for AMD graphics hardware: 19.Q1 simplifies deployment and brings the stability, simplicity, and security of Radeon Pro software to workers using commercial applications and content creators using entertainment or media applications with AMD Radeon graphics cards, such as the new Radeon VII.
