ASUS today announced two new TUF Gaming and Phoenix graphics models based on the GeForce GTX 1660 chipset. The new chipset closely follows in the footsteps of the 10660 Ti, with even more competitive pricing. The GeForce GTX 1660 chipset includes all the advantages of the Turing ™ architecture and represents an ideal choice for enjoying AAA titles in 1080p resolution, as well as for easily upgrading any old PC.

Subject to a complete battery of tests for compatibility with TUF motherboards, and to a 144-hour validation program that includes different synthetic and gaming benchmarks; TUF Gaming GeForce® GTX 1660 graphics are designed for gamers looking for long-term durability. These cards are manufactured with Auto-Extreme technology and are reinforced by a back plate. They also feature two 80mm fans fitted with ball bearings that last twice as long as traditional plain bearings.

The Phoenix GeForce® GTX 1660 incorporates a 100mm fan equipped with various technologies that increase its performance and durability without oversizing the graphics dimensions. The patented Wing-Blade fan design features curved tipped blades that reduce friction and an IP5X dust-resistant housing that prevents dirt particles from entering the two bearings. Phoenix charts are also manufactured using Auto-Extreme technology, a manufacturing process that uses robots to eliminate inconsistencies and increase the reliability of the charts.
