KB4524244: The update that Microsoft recommends uninstalling

Windows 4524244 update KB10 is a security patch related to the bootloader. Microsoft’s exact words were “Addresses an issue in which a third-party Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) bootloader could expose UEFI-enabled computers to a security vulnerability.”

But it turns out that this update in charge of solving a security flaw, gives many problems. The problems it causes range from slowing down Windows startup to preventing you from accessing the operating system.

This update will not appear again

Microsoft has advised that this update will disappear from the Windows Update application. This update was released on February 11, 2020, and was removed from Windows Update on February 18 of the same year. If you have noticed problems starting up your computer, uninstall this update.

To uninstall it, select the Start button and type Update history . Then select View update history . Next, in the window that opens, select Uninstall updates . Then select update KB4524244 and uninstall it.

According to Microsoft, you may have installed that update and not have any problems. In case you don't have any problems, you don't need to uninstall it. This is because we each use different hardware and software versions. Therefore, an update can positively affect one and slow down another.

This isn't the first update to cause problems . It probably won't be the last either. But the important thing is that they realize it quickly and fix it. Luckily, Windows is a very secure OS. This is because it's designed to be exploited by everyone. However, it has one major flaw: any user can modify its registry with just two clicks.
