AMD Radeon graphics smooth frame rates and wonderful visuals in Star Control: Origins

Today is launched Star Control: Origins, allowing players to take command of the first and only interstellar ship on a mission to save Earth from an ancient alien threat, at all costs and by any means necessary. You'll explore the galaxy, investigate new worlds, contact new civilizations, and fight hostile aliens.

As we have already told you on previous occasions, the Raise the Game pack from AMD includes the PC version of Star Control: Origins for free with the purchase of an AMD Radeon RX Vega, RX 580, or RX 570 graphics card.
AMD has collaborated closely with Stardock Entertainment to offer gamers the brightest images and smoothest frame rates possible with AMD Radeon GPUs in Star Control: Origins at launch and beyond:
  • Performance on the Radeon RX Vega 64 outperforms the GeForce GTX 1080 at 1080p, 1440p, and native 4K.
  • DirectX 12, Vulkan and FreeSync 2 HDR support is on the way and will come in a future update - the Radeon experience at Star Control will be even better and more immersive.
  • With support for the industry-leading adaptive update technology, Radeon FreeSync, Radeon gamers with compatible monitors can also enjoy incredibly low latency and incredible visual fidelity in Star Control.
You can download the latest version of Radeon Software Adrenalin Edition 18.9.2, with Day-0 support and optimizations for Star Control: Origins here.
As a reminder, the Radeon RX graphics cards included in the Raise the Game bundle, which also includes Strange Brigade and Assassin's Creed Odyssey, are available from Amazon and PC Components, among other retailers. The promotional period ends on November 3, 2018. Games are redeemable until December 31, 2018.
