Nogalious MSX now on sale also on Steam

For those nostalgic for retro games, indie developer LaterLu3go Studios launches its classic 2D platformer Nogalious MSX today on Steam for just € 3,29. This version of Nogalious is the same version that appeared on an MSX cartridge last January. . The game is now available in both physical (MSX) and digital (Steam) formats.

Nogalious MSX is a different game than the one that was released on PC a few months ago (DVD, Steam). Both share many aspects, but contain a particular arrangement of platforms and enemies, as well as a slightly different graphic style.

We believe that Nogalious MSX is a piece of art. Nogalious MSX represents the true spirit of 80s games: extreme difficulty, pixelated graphics and platform action - Raúl Nogalés, CEO at Luegolu3go Studios

Funded through Kickstarter, and having received the support of 246 fans, Nogalious will also be released for Amstrad CPC, Commodore 64, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 throughout this year.

Nogalious is the first title in a trilogy of retro platformers that tell the story of Nogalious, his daughter Mariet, and the evil Darama. Future titles of Mirilla and Dragorieta will in principle be released in 2019. Nogalious is the first game to include the Luegolu3go Play Game Services (LPGS) service, thanks to which updated user scores are displayed for the physical version and the digital version, both from PC as from MSX.

LPGS is a platform where you can register rankings, scores, payments and information from both online and offline software. Download the LGPS Reader and connect your 8-bit games to the Internet. LPGS is focused on video game studios, independent developers, students, and homebrew creators. The platform is in beta phase but we expect to ship it in the third quarter of 2019. It is currently available on Android and soon on iOS.
