Zero Latency teams up with Microsoft, HP and Intel to develop the second generation of its virtual reality platform

Zero Latency, the world leader in multiplayer virtual reality, has begun collaborating with Microsoft, HP and Intel to develop the next generation of the Zero Latency platform. Technology multinationals will supply Zero Latency with new possibilities in software and hardware and will also offer marketing support. This is the first time that companies like these have collaborated with Zero Latency.

“Microsoft is excited about the transformative experiences enabled by VR and how Zero Latency is changing the game in entertainment,” said Yancey Smith, senior director of Mixed Reality Business Solutions at Microsoft. “We look forward to working with them to reach users with experiences based on Mixed Reality headsets and our cloud-based services, and working with them to expand into new markets.”

Virtual Reality as a form of leisure continues to expand

“Zero Latency provides very intense free-to-move multiplayer virtual reality experiences at its centers around the world. That is why we at HP are delighted to work with them on developing the hardware that will enable the next generation of their platform to be launched, thus bringing the exploration of virtual worlds to as many people as possible, ”says Joanna Popper, Global Director Virtual Reality for Location-Based Entertainment at HP Inc.

For its part, Intel will provide the best computing platforms to offer powerful and immersive multiplayer virtual reality. Using Intel technologies such as Intel NUC VR platforms and i7 processors, Zero Latency experiences will take gamers to a new level in their virtual reality experiences.

“We are very excited to be collaborating with one of the pioneers in the virtual reality video game scene. Zero Latency continues to innovate its platform and Intel's pioneering technology will allow for greater playability to reach an even wider audience, ”says Raj Puran of Intel's virtual reality division.
