New data from the AMD Vega, would put it above the NVIDIA GTX 1080

New leak that could refer to the AMD Vega, shows that this graphics card in special benchmarks is superior to the NVIDIA GTX 1080, but is far from the monstrous NVIDIA GTX 1080Ti.

We gave the AMD Vega graphics card for missing in action after a presentation, more than disappointing where Raja Koduri the only thing he showed us is a shirt. The latest about AMD Vega comes from CompuBench, where a mysterious ID of a device called AMD 687F: C1 has appeared, which could correspond to an AMD Vega graphics card, although there is no data to assure it. We saw this ID back in January when a benchmark of the Doom 4K Ultra was leaked with a graphic that had this ID.

This is important, because if it appears in CompuBench, it means that AMD is already finishing the development of the AMD Vega graphics card. We have been looking for data on this graphics card for a long time, but the data comes very trickle down, something like what happened to AMD Ryzen processors, whose information came out very trickle and its arrival on the market has followed the process of leaks of information, as they arrive numbered.

Before anyone gets excited, the OpenCL benchmarks show no gaming performance. We see that the AMD Vega in an advanced development phase, but not finished, is already faster than the GTX 1080, although it seems that it does not manage to reach the GTX 1080Ti, a graphics card that plays in a very different league. Before moving on to the results, it appears that the AMD Vega will have 64 Compute Units. The data also shows two frequencies that could refer to the base frequency which would be 1000MHz and a Boost frequency of 1200MHz.

The frequencies are very interesting, although irrelevant, since AMD could have established these frequencies as a benchmark, to see the performance and the final frequencies could be much higher, with which the final power of the graphics card would be very supper.
