NVIDIA has not only proposed to develop a mining system with special graphics cards based on the GTX 1060 and it would also be working on special drivers for mining.
Cryptocurrencies have become a real madness at the moment, affecting the hardware market in general, causing a complete shortage of AMD RX 470/480/570/580 graphics cards and there are already stock problems in graphics cards of NVIDIA. We have been saying the lack of AMD Polaris graphics cards for weeks and now it is the NVIDIA that are sold for mining, because these are optimal for Zcash mining, especially and would offer greater mining power.
It should be noted that NVIDIA is already developing special graphics cards for mining Zcash, which is based on the 1060GB GTX 3, which has a performance more or less similar to the RX 480/580, with lower consumption. The solution that has been announced is a GP106-100 graphics GPU, which is compact in size, with a passive heatsink and without video connectors, developed for a mining kit, which will come with a chassis, special motherboard and power supply. The kit will support eight of these graphics and be cooled by means of five fans that introduce air and four that exhaust it. The power supply is specific to this system.
Not only has NVIDIA worked on the development of a special graphics, they would be working on the development of a new specific driver for mining, which allows improving the hash rate for mining without affecting energy consumption. The important thing in these systems is to have the highest possible power in terms of Mh / s and the lowest possible consumption. The AMD RX 480 are the best on the market, for price and performance, in addition, they have a special BIOS mod that reduces consumption and improves performance.

waiting for the drivers hahaha ...
This already seems like better news to me, the optimization of the drivers, here if they can play a good role, and if they do the mining soft ... that must already be scary
