NVIDIA will not release new graphics at the moment, as they are in no rush

NVIDIA is not in the slightest hurry to launch graphics cards, which is why it would delay the new gaming graphics a lot, which would be based on the Turing architecture, contrary to what was expected, which was Ampere.

It seems that we have to get used to the idea that we will not see new NVIDIA products at the Game Developer Conference and the GPU Technology Conference organized by NVIDIA itself. Most likely, the company will show something about the technologies that will bring the new GPUs to life or present a specific Roadmap, but nothing more about it. Everything indicates that NVIDIA right now would be betting on producing more GPUs based on Pascal and thus solve the serious stock problems, due to the great competition between the gaming market and the cryptocurrency mining market.

Exclusive: These are the prices of the components of a mid-range GPU

At least for now, NVIDIA will continue with Volta for the professional segment, distinguishing architectures between the professional market and the gaming world. Right now the two technologies on the table are Ampere and Turing. Apparently and contrary to what everyone thinks, Ampere would go to the server segment and will be the one to replace Volta, while Turing would go to the consumer segment or what is the same, gaming.

Having two architectures optimized for two segments, which clearly do not need the same technologies, is something that makes sense. The Tensor Cores of the Volta are useless in the gaming market and the CUDA Cores are important for gaming and for the professional. NVIDIA may have decided to end multipurpose architectures, adaptable to all segments and developing solutions optimized for each segment.

It's clear that AMD isn't pushing NVIDIA at all, as the Vega are simply ticklish. Vega for performance, consumption and availability, is not a competent rival for NVIDIA and this would make the company relax and choose to optimize solutions for other industries and more considering that 4K gamers are a minority and with a GTX 1080 Ti (or two in SLI), is more than enough. We must remove cryptocurrencies from the equation, since it is an equalizer and graphs are requested from both companies.

Turing could have been delayed for the above reasons and the partners who work with the company and were waiting for the specifications to start developing custom solutions, they will not have data until May at the earliest. The cryptocurrency market has no weight for the company at the moment, since they are aware of the scarcity, but the income is the income.

  1. I knew it, I don't see the point of releasing a gtx 2070, if the problem isn't the power but the stock, today a 1060 is more than enough to play at 1080, and AMD screwed up with VOLTA, why compete with themselves, do you remember the i5 3770, 4770, 6700, 7700 ??, the difference between those generations was zero, performance 10% more or less xd, because intel had the monopoly, well now the same but with NVIDIA.
