NVIDIA optimizes its drivers for Windows Mixed Reality virtual reality glasses

NVIDIA develops optimized and improved drivers for Windows Mixed Reality, which will reach the market customized by the different partners of the company.

Windows Mixed Reality virtual reality glasses will arrive in the market in the coming days from Acer, Dell, HP, Lenovo, Samsung and the main OEMs on the market. These glasses implement an important novelty within the virtual reality ecosystem: internal tracking. This technology refers to the no need for external cameras and sensors to track headphones in a space. This makes VR setup much easier for consumers. The new VR glasses require the new Windows 10 Fall Creators update.

NVIDIA has worked closely with Microsoft on the update to ensure that our graphics cards provide the best possible experience for virtual reality. NVIDIA, has developed new Game Ready drivers to offer the best performance and compatibility of these VR glasses and titles with mixed reality combined with NVIDIA VR Ready GPUs. Having the best quality solutions for the moment of its launch is essential and even more so when we talk about virtual reality titles, since we need great fluency.

For the best Windows Mixed Reality experience, a VR Ready certified NVIDIA GTX 1060 or better graphics card is recommended. This is because VR requires seven times more graphics power than traditional games and applications. Virtual reality is one of the great developments of recent times, but it requires powerful hardware to move applications and offer a fluid experience. Powerful processors are also needed to offer the best frame rate, which allow a great experience in the titles that will be compatible with this technology.
