NVIDIA Shield Android TV will arrive in two versions

The new NVIDIA Shield Android TV would arrive in two versions, one of them with the integrated GTX 1050 graphics card.

NVIDIA has shown the first images of the new console with Android TV, the NVIDIA Shield Android TV, which is a compact solution between a console and a multimedia player based on an NVIDIA GTX 1050, which may be a competitor in the field of casual gaming, competing with the future Nintendo Switch and even with the multimedia centers with Android TV that can be found on the market today.

The controller has undergone some changes, among others it will have Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity, which allows significant energy savings and battery durability. This controller has a curious polygonal design, similar to the company's image, which by the way, is based on a mix between the design of the XBOX One controller and the key layout of the PlayStation controller. This command has three quick access keys in the lower central area.

Filtering the images gives us a lot of data. We see that there is a compact version, which is logical to think that it will go with a Tegra SoC and it will be a cheaper version and then we have the powerful version with the GTX 1050 graphics processor. The Tegra version is postulated as an interesting solution for GRID , while the solution with the GTX 1050 would also be designed for streaming.

There is not much more data, but it would be logical to think that it will have several USB 3.0 ports, at least, and an HDMI video output, although a DisplayPort video output is not ruled out. Like its predecessors, it will be designed to connect to the internet through WiFi, we imagine that through the IEEE 802.11ac protocol. We do not know much more and it is logical to think that it will be at CES 2017 when this platform reveals all its data to us.
