OFFICIAL: Raja Koduri signs for Intel and will develop its integrated graphics

It is confirmed, Raja Koduri has signed for Intel and will be in charge of developing, optimizing and improving the performance of the graphics solutions that are integrated into their processors and gaining ground to AMD APUs.

Intel just announced that Raja Koduri is to be Intel's Chief Architect, Senior Vice President of the newly formed Core and Visual Computing Group, and General Manager of a new initiative to drive cutting-edge computing solutions. In this position, Koduri will expand Intel's leading position in integrated graphics in the computer market, with high-end graphics solutions for a wide range of computing segments. The rumors, with this information, are verified and Intel will benefit from the knowledge obtained by Koduri with the development of Vega.

Billions of users today enjoy computing experiences powered by Intel's leading IP and visual computing cores. Moving forward under the leadership of Koduri, the company will unify and expand differentiated IP through computing, graphics, media, imaging and machine intelligence capabilities for customer and data center segments, artificial intelligence and emerging opportunities. .

“Raja is one of the most experienced, innovative and respected graphics and system architecture visionaries in the industry and the latest example of top technical talent to join Intel,” said Dr. Murthy Renduchintala, Intel’s chief engineering officer and president of the Internet of Things, Business and Systems Architecture Client Group. “We have exciting plans to aggressively expand our computing and graphics capabilities, and build on our strong and broad foundation of differentiated IP. With Raja leading our Core and Visual Computing Group, we will add to our portfolio of unmatched capabilities, advance our strategy to lead in computing and graphics, and ultimately be the driving force behind the data revolution.”

Koduri brings more than 25 years of experience in accelerated and visual computing advancements to Intel on a wide range of platforms, including PCs, game consoles, professional workstations, and consumer devices. His deep technical experience spans graphics hardware, software, and systems architecture.

“I admire Intel as a technology leader and have had fruitful collaborations with the company over the years,” said Koduri. “I am incredibly excited to join the Intel team and have the opportunity to drive a unified architectural vision across their world-leading IP portfolio that helps accelerate the data revolution.”

Koduri, 49, joins Intel from AMD, where he most recently served as senior vice president and chief architect of the Radeon Technologies Group. In this role, he was responsible for overseeing all aspects of the graphics technologies used in AMD's APU, discrete GPU, semi-custom, and GPU products. Prior to AMD, Koduri served as director of graphics architecture at Apple Inc., where he helped establish a leading graphics subsystem for the Mac family of products and led the transition to Retina computer displays.

    1. It's not strange, it all seems like AMD's moves, the strange thing was that for the first time Roberto Solé wrote raja koduri without saying "vega fiasco."

      1. What I'm going to is that, if the crack could not with Nvidia in AMD, why now if in Intel?
It means that the problem was not Raja, but AMD ...

        1. Jim keller left after completing zen development and then hired by tesla, so ryzen's merit goes to keller or amd?
