OnePlus 5 officially presented, the best mobile on the market?
Finally, after a few long months of speculation and rumors, we already have among us the new OnePlus 5, a high-performance terminal that wants to compete with the best.
Just a few minutes ago, a direct from the OnePlus website was made. In it he has made the official presentation of his new flagship, the OnePlus 5. Since last year and thanks to the great reception that the OnePlus 3 and 3T had, it has been rumored how the new device of this 2017 could be.
As we could already know from the beginning, OnePlus decided that they would skip a number in their numbering. What should be the OnePlus 4 will be named OnePlus 5, because the number 4 is a symbol of bad luck in China. The rest of the data that has been shuffled throughout this time, from the Mobile World Congress to today, have been only rumors, from concept Arts to elaborate 3D renders and records of its passage through benchmarks. And as we could see, many of them were true.
During the beginning of the conference, the people of OnePlus, made a small introduction recalling its principles and its past. Innovate and take care of the details, as they already did with the first of their OnePlus. A complete smartphone, with the best value for money of its time and only one weak point, which were limited units. As for the OnePlus 5, let's see its features.
Table of Contents
Design

This is one of the aspects that we have already discussed, and that has raised the most controversy. The Oneplus 5 takes some details of the iPhone 7 Plus, such as the rounded finish of its corners, the placement of the antenna surrounding the upper and lower part and the placement of both its logo and the double camera. But that's not a bad thing, since the design of the iPhone is one of the best rated by users.
The front part maintains the same aesthetics as in the previous OnePlus, with the home button-fingerprint reader at the bottom. On the sides it also maintains, apart from the volume and lock buttons, the notification slide.
A design that seems quite careful and thought out, without being the best on the market or without risking a lot, but with a good finish, dimensions of 154,2 x 74,1 x 7,25mm and a weight of 153 grams. It maintains the 3.5 mm Jack connector and makes use of the USB Type C connector.
Camera

As for the photographic section, it seems that they have wanted to take a big step forward. They have opted for a double sensor for the main camera, also similar to the iPhone 7 Plus. Since it has a 16-megapixel Sony sensor and f / 1.7 aperture and another Sony sensor, 20-megapixel and f / 2.6 aperture, with which a digital zoom can be performed without cropping in detail.
With this configuration, OnePlus ensures that its camera will be able to compete with the best smartphone cameras on the market today. We do not doubt his word, but we will have to wait until the first tests to be able to corroborate this statement.
Hardware

The screen will have Optic AMOLED and DCI-P3 technology, a dimension of 5,5 inches and a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixels. As we already knew, the OnePlus 5 will mount the best processor on the market, the Snapdragon 835, along with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage or 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. In addition, this storage will have UFS 2.1 and Dual Lane technology, which doubles the speed of reading and writing.
A battery of only 3300 mAh, but that promises to offer good autonomy thanks to the optimization of its software and the use of a 10-nanometer processor. This battery has the new OnePlus charging system, the Dash Charge, which promises to charge 29% in just 15 minutes and up to 58% in 30 minutes.
Software
One of the strengths of the previous OnePlus, and for which they are at the forefront of the market, is the software, OxygenOS. They have continued to polish the system and eliminate errors from the past. And, in addition, they have added a blue light filter and the adjustment of the color temperature, the possibility of taking continuous screenshots, instead of having to take several.

The price of the OnePlus 5 will be 499 euros for the version with 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, while the version of 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage comes to 559 euros. Shipments will begin tomorrow for pre-orders, being available to all users on June 27.
