Focusing on sustainability and in line with LG's Better Life for All vision, the Smart Cottage features a studio-style two-story layout for a functional and comfortable living environment using space more efficiently. The modular house has all the appliances and facilities that a person may need in their day to day. It can be easily transported and placed anywhere, ideal for the American market where the floor itself is rented. According to research by ReportLinker, it is expected that the global market for manufactured homes will reach an estimated figure of 22.900 billion dollars in 2028, with a compound annual growth rate of 4,8% from 2023 to 2028.
Inside, it seeks to convey a premium feeling of relaxation and comfort thanks to its minimalist design of LG products and the harmonious use of materials such as hardwood, tile and brass. To reduce environmental impact, the replaceable components of the house modules have been made from low carbon steel materials.

Among the appliances and functionalities are the WashTower Compact QuadWash dishwasher, several built-in appliances in the kitchen such as washing machines or refrigerators, a water purifier and a Therma V Monobloc air-to-water heat pump, which can provide a reliable supply of hot water through the connection to the integrated water tank of 200 liters capacity.
Outside, the LG Smart Cottage is equipped with sustainability-oriented LG technologies such as 4 kW solar panels Roof-mounted with an energy storage system. Excess power can be stored in LG's ESS for later use or sold to the already contracted electricity provider. It has a built-in charger for electric vehicles, given that they are expected to be the future of private transport before regulations already approved.
