Thousands of mobiles affected by a "bug" in the WiFi chip

Security problem affects many terminals, regardless of the operating system they have installed. The problem is caused by the WiFi module of the computers that have a Broadcom chip, which a hacker managed to access another computer remotely through it.

Google has already solved this problem in its terminals with a software update, so if you have a Google mobile phone and you have updated it to the latest version, this problem no longer affects you. Like Google, Apple released update 10.3.1 to correct the problem on its terminals. The problem is that there are many more mobile phones affected and users cannot know if they are protected from this problem since they would have to look directly at which WiFi chip they have in their terminal. Many of the manufacturers are already working on a solution for this problem, but updates sometimes take a long time to publish and this can become a serious problem.
