QNAP presents its news for Computex 2023

QNAP Systems, Inc., a brand provider of computing, networking and storage solutions; will participate in the COMPUTEX TAIPEI 2023 fair to present its range of solutions and products. What it will take includes an intelligent surveillance solution with AI accelerators, multi-device and multi-site backup solutions, NDR switches designed for LAN security, petabyte-scale storage solutions, Thunderbolt 4 NAS, and an all-new 100GbE switch.

Visitors to the technology event will also see the introduction of myQNAPcloud One. It is QNAP's own cloud storage service. The brand has also partnered with AMD and Seagate to present joint storage solutions with NAS.

This is what QNAP will bring to Computex 2023

First up will be the TS-h3077AFU NAS, which will come equipped with the latest AMD processor. Ryzen 7 7700 8-core with a frequency of up to 5,3 GHz, offers one 30-bay SATA all-flash array that adapts to different business budgets. Its DDR5 memory, two 10GBASE-T ports, two 2,5GbE ports, and three PCIe Gen 4 slots that support 25GbE adapters, form your connectivity setup. The TS-h3077AFU thus meets the unrestrained performance demands of virtualization, modern data centers, and 4K/8K media production.

This series includes more models with 3,5″ SATA drives, such as the 1277-bay TS-h12AXU-RP model and the 1677-bay TS-h16AXU-RP model. They are the first QNAP NAS to adopt PCIe Gen 5 M.2 slots for high-speed SSD storage pools or cache acceleration to improve system performance.

Meanwhile, the TVS-h4T and TVS-h674T Thunderbolt 874 NAS combine private cloud storage with convenience and utility. They come equipped with either a 7-core Intel Core i12 or a 9-core Intel Core i16 processor. The TVS-x74T series includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two 2,5GbE ports, integrated GPU, two M.2 2280 PCIe Gen 4 x4 slots, two PCIe Gen 4 slots that allow for 10GbE and 25GbE network expansion, and one output HDMI 4K.

Then there's the TBS-574TX, the first QNAP NAS to support E1.S SSDs for performance-demanding tasks and video editing in 2K and 4K resolutions. Powered by a 3th generation 10-core Intel Core i12 processor, it combines Thunderbolt 4 connectivity with hot-swappable E1.S SSD slots. This makes it easy for video editors and content creators to switch between projects and share files to collaborate.

Intelligent surveillance with AI accelerator and backup of video recordings

The TS-AI642, an 8-core AI-based NAS with a 6 TOPS performance NPU. This features one of the most powerful ARM-based NAS in the QNAP product portfolio. It is specially designed for AI image recognition and smart surveillance applications. Connectivity consists of integrated dual 4K HDMI, 2,5GbE connectivity as standard, and a PCIe Gen 3 slot for 10GbE expansion. Powered by AI, it packs advanced 76GHz ARM Cortex-A2,2 and 55GHz Cortex-A1,8 cores, offering the ideal balance of performance and power savings at an affordable price.

The joint solution from QNAP and Hailo is expected to be an efficient, scalable and affordable AI surveillance solution for large-scale deployments. Rather than purchase cameras with built-in AI, applications can be used such as AI-equipped people counting and facial recognition through surveillance servers with Hailo-8 M.2 AI acceleration modules.

Recording Vault will offer a centralized backup solution for long-term retention, as well as support for backing up video recordings. Administrators can easily access video backups through their computers or mobile devices with QVR Pro Client.

Multi-device, multi-site and multi-cloud backup solutions

Hybrid Backup Sync is QNAP's backup solution that allows you to follow 3-2-1 backup strategies. To meet the challenge of managing hundreds of NAS backup jobs, Hybrid Backup Center is introduced, centralizing the management of large-scale and cross-site Hybrid Backup Sync NAS backup jobs on a single platform.

QNAP has introduced its own cloud service “myQNAPcloud One”, aimed at optimizing users' hybrid backup plans from on-premises QNAP NAS to the QNAP cloud. It will offer solutions to protect different types of data and keep them available at all times. This facilitates a hybrid backup strategy for both organizations and individuals. In addition to enabling comprehensive protection during data backup, transfer, and storage processes, myQNAPcloud One services can be integrated into Hybrid Backup Sync, Hybrid Backup Center, HybridMount, and other QNAP solutions.

NDR Switches, Local Equipment Network Virtualization and High Availability at the system level

QNAP offers an ADRA Network Detection and Response (NDR) solution that can be deployed on an access switch. This allows them maximum network-level security coverage for all connected end devices in a LAN environment against targeted ransomware.

It also proposes the concept of turning traditional IT rooms into a software-defined IT infrastructure. With the local QuCPE network virtualization equipment, QuCPE-7030A, with up to 10 cores/20 threads and OCP 3.0, which uses VM/VNF/container technology to replace dedicated network hardware. With this, you can easily create a resilient virtualized IT room and remotely manage IT rooms across multiple locations without the need to go on-site. QuCPE also supports high availability at the system level to achieve minimum uptime for service availability.

Petabyte-scale storage solutions

Exponential data growth requires reliable storage with scalable flexibility. Visitors can expect to see complete petabyte-scale storage solutions from QNAP, built with robust ZFS-based QuTS hero NAS systems and new JBOD SATA storage enclosures with PCIe interface (TL-Rxx00PES-RP series includes 12, 16, and 24 bays). QNAP has also partnered with Seagate® to offer PB scaling solutions by making QNAP NAS compatible with select system models. JBOD from the Seagate Exos E series. These affordable and scalable solutions offer organizations future-ready data storage capable of meeting the challenges of large capacity.
