QNAP Introduces TS-855eU Shallow Rackmount NAS

QNAP Systems, Inc. today introduced the TS-855eU NAS series designed for shallow rack mounting. This series includes the TS-855eU model with a single power supply, and the TS-855eU-RP model with redundant power supplies. Powered by a 5125GHz 8-core Intel Atom C2,8 processor with Intel QuickAssist technology and support for configurations up to 64GB of memory, the TS-855eU series NAS offers eight SATA drive bays and dual-port 2,5GbE connectivity. These features address the performance and capacity needs of enterprise file servers.

The TS-855eU NAS series offers enterprise-grade performance in a small footprint

This 855-core TS-8eU NAS series offers flexibility and simplicity in a wide variety of business applications. These include virtualization, high-speed data access, data backup and restore, and file servers. Its dual 2,5GbE connectivity offers port trunking to improve transfer efficiency and fault tolerance. Two PCIe Gen 3 x4 slots accommodate 10GbE/25GbE network cards and offer SR-IOV for better I/O performance.

Its two integrated NVMe PCIe M.2 slots offer support for SSD caching or Qtier tiered storage to improve performance. This TS-855eU series is VMware vSphere and Microsoft Hyper-V certified for virtualization storage.

These models offer an all-in-one backup and restore solution that supports cloud-based services for easy hybrid cloud deployment. Snapshots can be taken regularly to protect the NAS from ransomware, or create virtual private networks using the QVPN service to guarantee your NAS access to remote data.
