Volvo EX30 introduces Qualcomm Snapdragon Cockpit platforms
Volvo has just announced that its new fully electric Volvo EX30 vehicle will be designed for safety and greater sustainability, and to make life more comfortable for the user thanks to its cutting-edge technology. This new small SUV has an interior that embraces sustainable thinking, while carefully crafted collections of materials enhance the interior design.
Using recycled and renewable materials such as denim, linen and wool, along with a variety of colors and textures, its interior is based on responsible design. When interacting with the Volve VCEX30, a contextual user experience is delivered, intelligently removing complexity for a more focused and enjoyable drive on a single screen. Plus, things like a full-width soundbar and smart storage combine to deliver a big-car experience in less space.
Everything the Volvo EX30 has to offer
The sound bar in the EX30 takes inspiration from home audio design. Assemble multiple speakers in one sound bar and fill your entire cabin with premium sound. When combined with your high-end Harman Kardon sound system, you can listen to music and podcasts with exceptional sound. It groups the speakers in a single component and reduces the amount of wiring and material, located under the windscreen and perfectly integrated into the design of the passenger compartment. By not requiring door speakers, we can offer you much more storage space.
The window switches have been moved to the center console, easily accessible for both driver and passenger. These and other examples represent a broader principle of centralization inside the EX30. Also the glove box has been relocated under the center screen. This means that it can be easily accessed by the driver and front passenger as it takes advantage of the extra space offered by the flat ground.
The centralization in the interior of the Volvo EX30 is also represented by the only 12,3-inch central screen, located in the center of the dashboard. This screen contains all the relevant information for the driver. Key driving information, such as speed and charge levels, is prominently displayed on the single screen, easily visible and accessible at the top.
The EX30 with Google built-in includes hands-free help from the Google Assistant, navigation from Google Maps and your favorite apps on Google Play. The EX30 is also the first Volvo vehicle to include wireless Apple CarPlay. The infotainment system also comes with 5G. Powered by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc's Snapdragon Cockpit platforms, this premium in-vehicle experience will be highly responsive. Volvo claims to have worked closely with ECARX through the HaleyTek software joint venture to offer the best infotainment platform possible.
