Paladins: Battlegrounds will also mimic PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds battle royale mode

PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds will have a new competitor, in this case it is the free-to-play Paladins: Battlegrounds, who will copy the theme and which is available on Steam.

Yesterday we echoed the childish tantrum of the LawBreakers developers, who claim that their poor sales in the United States are due to PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds, despite the fact that they are games intended for different audiences. The thing is, everyone wants a piece of the pie that PUBG, who has passed 3.1 million simultaneous players, has been exploiting. The copies of the game are multiple and the last one is Paladins, which will receive a battle royale mode and which has been called, very subtly, Paladins: Battlegrounds.

This is a free-to-play type shooter, launched by the developer Hi-Rez Studios and that has a great popularity on Steam (not even a point of comparison with PUBG). The developers want to achieve the same as Fortnite, to get into a market they do not have access to. Initially it was said that Fortnite stole users from PUBG, but in the end that has come to absolutely nothing. Paladins wants to do the same and the advantage it has over Fortnite is that it is available on Steam, so you don't have to have a second platform installed.

The Paladins version is a battle royales mode without more, with a maximum number of 100 players who, in this case, are divided into two teams of heroes and there is a maximum game time of 20 minutes, where we must survive. Logically, as time passes, the amount of available map is reduced significantly and logically, there is less room for action. We do not catch anything new. Now we just need to know how Bluehole will react to it, although they already said that they did not mind being copied from their play style.
