The PC practically equals in video game sales to all the consoles on the market, together

A study has been published that indicates that the PC video game market is practically the same as the market for all consoles on the market, added together.

Always, certain sectors have tried to seek the end of the gaming computer and some have jumped on the bandwagon to try to destroy the desktop computer, as the gaming platform par excellence. Consoles, smartphones, tablets or laptops have not displaced this platform, which is more alive than ever, undoubtedly powered by eSports, but also because PC hardware is more powerful than that of any console and at the same time least a generation ahead. This is the queen platform of gaming and where more video games are sold.

Microsoft and Sony often boast exclusive titles for their platforms and many games make it to consoles, but they sell less than for PC normally. Well, a recent report indicates that this year the sale of games has been higher than expected, with the PC practically equaling the sales of the different consoles on the market. It has been calculated that the sales of the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U and Nintendo Switch, have obtained a share of 29% of sales and the PC has achieved 28% of sales, remaining at stone's throw.

The study indicates that the gamer public has spent over 116.000 million dollars in video games throughout this 2017. The remaining 43% is left to the casual gaming market, which includes smartphones and tablets. The data among others refer to the microtransactions within the games. It is normal for these platforms to enter more since there are millions more of these platforms and users are usually prone to payments to play and obtain various benefits. And you, how much have you spent this year on games?
