ASUS Announces ROG Swift 500Hz Esports Monitor with NVIDIA G-SYNC and Reflex

ASUS has just announced the ROG Swift 500Hz monitor. It is the first eSports monitor with a refresh rate of 500 Hz. The Swift 500Hz features a 1920-inch FHD (1080 x 24,1 resolution) Esports-TN display.

(E-TN) technology produces 60% shorter response times than standard TN LCD displays, making the Swift 500Hz the fastest LCD monitor ever.

ASUS ROG creates the fastest monitor and sets a new record

ASUS ROG has used AU Optronics (AUO) AmLED technology, which allows them to control brightness, contrast, colors and refresh rate with great precision in real time. Along with this, the Swift 500Hz has NVIDIA G-SYNC and Esports Vibrance technologies, in addition to a mode optimized for esports which is built into the firmware of the monitor. When activated, it allows more light to move through the LCD screen glass so that colors are more vibrant and can be better recognized.

As in-game latency is a crucial factor in esports, the Swift 500Hz also includes NVIDIA Reflex Analyzer. This is a function that allows measure input latency with one click.

This monitor also comes equipped with motion blur reduction, image enhancement and input latency reduction technology. ROG Swift 500Hz is built to compete in eSports tournaments with precision.

With this, ROG creates a monitor for the future. For now there is no graphics card that reaches such an image rate, much less using effects such as Ray Tracing. At some point it will hit 500 frames per second at 1080p. But as it stands, it's intended so that in the future, an enthusiast-grade graphics card can display that many frames to deliver reliability and accuracy for the most demanding eSports gamers.
