Corsair A500 Dual Fan, a high performance and performance air cooler

Last January 2 I made a small product prediction or things we could see at CES 2020 in Las Vegas. The idea was to talk a bit about Intel, AMD and NVIDIA and also make reference to other such prominent brands in the industry. You enter the ones that touch was Corsair, which makes all kinds of products and peripherals.

A few months ago Corsair launched its first custom liquid cooling system in a further step in the hardware market. Until now it was known for its fans and its AiO liquid cooling kits. The only thing the company lacked was a high-performance air-cooled heatsink to adapt to current market demands.

Corsair announces its first over-the-air heatsink

Corsair A500 Dual Fan is a cooler for dual fan processors using a direct contact heatpipe system. This helps move heat to the aluminum fins and improves heat dissipation. It has a cold air intake fan and a hot air ejection fan.

It is true that it is not the most beautiful heatsink we have seen, but it can be one of the most efficient. It is focused to generate an air current between the two fans that is as efficient as possible. The upper area is covered, to prevent an upward air flow and although the sides are uncovered, the air leak will be minimal due to the configuration.

The A500 Dual Fan has the characteristic of using two, two high power fans with magnetic bearing. These two fans are PWM type and low noise. They can work between 400RPM and 2400RPM.

An interesting aspect is that the fans have been mounted on a sliding system. This is done so that we can adjust the height of the fans in case they touch the RAM modules. An ingenious solution that is appreciated.

Finally, note that the Corsa A500 Dual Fan is simple to install and uses its own retention system called HoldFast. It has support for socket AM4 from AMD and Intel LGA 115x and LGA 20xx. The market date or price has not been specified.
