The Creative Technology brand has just announced the launch of the Sound Blaster Katana V2X sound bar. This soundbar has been redesigned to suit users with small desks and to be even cheaper than its previous counterpart.
The Sound Blaster Katana V2X's small footprint frees up valuable table space with a subwoofer that's 40% smaller than its predecessor - Still boasting a maximum power output of 180W, ideal for room gaming rigs in which there is setup gaming.
Sound Blaster Katana V2X keeps the power in a small size
Its small size does not hamper the audio quality, which remains at the same level as its larger sister. High-fidelity multi-channel audio via tri-amplified Xamp technology, in which the multi-core DSP controller powers the tweeters, midrange speakers and subwoofer individually. On the other hand, Super X-Fi holographic headphone audio recreates the listening stage of a high-end speaker system in headphones, perfect for late-night gaming without disturbing the neighbors.
The special audio modes for games are one of the great additions to this model. For example, SXFI BATTLE mode improves audio cues in battle, both in directionality and distance. Scout mode focuses on sound detection to hear enemies before you even see them.
For those who want a cinematic experience, the integrated audio decoder signed by Dolby, allows you to enjoy movies to the fullest. Experts will be able to get more out of the Katana V2X when used in conjunction with the Creative application, which will allow them to customize the audio through the Acoustic Engine suite; and the RGB lighting. These settings can be saved as custom profiles in the app and on the programmable buttons on the remote control.
There are connectivity options between HDMI Arc ports and Optical S/PDIF, Bluetooth 5.0 wireless, USB-C port, 3.5mm auxiliary input and a dedicated SXFI output. It is also compatible with desktops, laptops, and consoles alike. The Sound Blaster Katana V2X is priced at €309,99 and is available now from Creative's online store.
