AVM has presented its latest innovations for the IFA fair to facilitate Internet access and enjoy the digital home. Among them is its FRITZ! Box 5690 Pro router for fiber optics and DSL that incorporates Wi-Fi 7, while the FRITZ! Box 6670 Cable for coaxial connections with a television tuner. They have also presented the FRITZ! Powerline 1240 AX PLC adapter, with Wi-Fi 6, and the FRITZ! DECT 350 home automation contact sensor for windows and doors.
FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro, fiber optic and DSL router with Wi-Fi 7
To ease a transition to fiber optics for homes that still use DSL, the FRITZ!Box 5690 Pro premium router is compatible with both fiber optic and DSL networks. It has Wi-Fi 7, Zigbee and DECT, as well as multiple connection options via gigabit LAN and USB.
It can transmit in the three frequency bands of 2,4 GHz, 5 GHz and 6 GHz. This achieves data rates of up to about 11,5 Gbit/s using Wi-Fi 6 and 7 standards. It also offers functions for smart home, as it is compatible with the Zigbee standard; and functions of management of wireless networks, IP telephony, VPN, Wi-Fi access for guests, firewall and a USB 3.1 port to connect storage units.
FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable: router with Wi-Fi 7, telephony and TV for cable connections
The FRITZ!Box 6670 Cable transmits in the 2,4 and 5 GHz bands, and a powerful mesh network with the functionality Wi-Fi Mesh. It is compatible with Zigbee and DECT ULE home automation standards. Its 2,5 Gigabit LAN port and four Gigabit LAN ports allow connect devices directly. It also includes a telephone system to connect and manage wireless phones, and an integrated TV tuner that allows television signals to be transmitted in the home network via Wi-Fi for Smart TVs and Chromecasts, among others.
FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX Wi-Fi PLC Adapter
FRITZ!Powerline 1240 AX is added to AVM's catalog of PLC adapters and Wi-Fi repeaters. Offers connectivity through power line, with speeds of up to 1200 Mbit/s and via Wi-Fi 6 at up to 600 Mbit/s. It integrates into your home network with the push of a button and establishes a Wi-Fi mesh network with other compatible products already installed.
