Gigabyte VISION DRIVE SSD 1TB, external hard drive based on an M.2 NVMe
Introduced by Gigabyte the external SSD drive (to know what is the durability of an SSD), VISION DRIVE SSD 1TB. This is the first external storage unit launched by the company that expands the catalog of the VISION range. This SSD is based on the USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C interface, to offer high read and write speeds.
Internally this VISION DRIVE SSD 1TB has a M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD. Thus the unit allows to offer read and write speeds of over 200MB / s. One of the aspects that has been taken into account in this unit is the cooling to avoid instabilities in performance.
Gigabyte Introduces VISION DRIVE SSD 1TB External Spanning Drive
The VISION product range consisted of graphics cards, motherboards and memories. Now the company expands the catalog with a high-performance external storage drive. It continues the established line of sleek lines and an all-white design.
This unit is designed in white with a fingerprint-proof surface with leather trim. Plus, it comes with a carrying case that helps protect the unit.
Regarding the storage unit, it is based on high-speed NAND Flash memories and the Phison E12 controller. This guarantees high performance and system stability. The connection to the system is based on a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type C that allows read and write speeds of more than 2000MB / s, thus ensuring the best possible performance for creators.
The M.2 drive goes on a motherboard specifically designed for this drive. A nanocarbon heat sink has been arranged on the M.2 drive to prevent loss of performance due to heat. The base of the unit, as well as the sides, have holes that allow air flow and heat dissipation from the unit.
Gigabyte highlights that this VISION DRIVE SSD 1TB has been certified with the military grade test MIL-STD-810G 516.6. This ensures that the unit will not be damaged when accidentally dropped up to 1.22 meters.
