Lian Li Introduces New RGB Power Cables

RGB has become one more element in all the hardware that we must necessarily acquire. Currently only MSI offers a high-end motherboard without RGB, so you have to pay for a product that you are not going to use or do not want. Lian Li takes the absurdity of RGB further with the new Lian Li Strimer Plus cable system with RGB.

Note that these RGB cable systems are not exactly cheap, on the contrary, they have absurd prices. The ATX cable costs € 49.90, yes, € 10 less than the original that cost € 59.90. The 6 + 2-pin PCIe cable costs € 39.90 and has no discount compared to the original version. Without a doubt, brands are still swinging excessively with the RGB issue.

Lian Li launches new cables with RGB

It's reached a point where RGB shoehorn into all elements is absurd. Power supplies, backpacks and notebooks soon, as ASUS has introduced a system with LED lighting on the lid, a prelude to RGB on the lid of laptops. Lian Li simply takes advantage of the pull of RGB, which many have already started to tire.

Lian Li Strimer Plus

About the Lian Li Strimer Plus, it is an ATX extension cord that has 120 RGB LEDs and a total of 18 lighting modes. Allows you to adjust the brightness level and requires a motherboard with RGB connector for software configuration. If you have a motherboard without RGB support, it comes with a controller that allows you to operate in the predefined modes. We are talking about a 200mm long cable and to work it requires a SATA power connector.

On the other hand, we have the 6 + 2-pin PCIe cable, counting in this case with 108 LEDs. This cable is 300mm long and comes protected by a braided nylon sheath.
