Amazon today unveiled its next generation of Echo Show devices: the new Echo Show 8 and Echo Show 5. The Echo Show are the fastest growing members of the Echo family of devices, and the new models feature more powerful cameras to enhance performance. video calls now that they are more and more present in our lives.
The new Echo Show 8 features an 8-inch HD display with adaptive color, a powerful 13-megapixel camera with a built-in privacy cover, an Octa-core processor, and stereo speakers for clear, balanced sound. The new camera pans and zooms during video calls, keeping everyone in frame. Just ask Alexa to make a video call or create a family group with up to seven members, then say, “Alexa, call the family group” to start a group call.

With its dual stereo speakers and HD screen, the Echo Show 8 also offers an immersive entertainment experience. Alexa can be asked to browse movies or series from streaming content services like Prime Video and Netflix; or play music from music streaming services like Amazon Music, Apple Music, or Spotify. They also suggest using it to follow step-by-step recipe videos with the Cookpad Skill.
The Echo Show 8 can use Amazon Photos to turn the home screen into a digital frame to display our photos. If we are an Amazon Prime member, we will have access to unlimited storage space in the cloud at full resolution with Amazon Photos.
We can also manage our Digital Home by controlling compatible devices, such as light bulbs, thermostats and others, through the interactive screen or voice command. A live image from the Echo Show 8 camera can be safely accessed from your account from the Alexa app or from other Echo Show devices to keep an eye on your home whenever you want - take a look and get peace of mind at all times. The Echo Show 5 is available for 84,99 euros while the Echo Show 8 model is at 129,99 euros, starting to ship next month.
