Sony puts the 783-inch Crystal LED screen with 16K resolution on sale for the modest price of 5.2 million euros
The Sony Crystal LED screen with 16K resolution goes on sale, the only thing is that to buy it you need about 5.2 million euros.
Are you a movie buff? Do you spend hours watching Netflix, HBO or YouTube content? Well you're in luck, because Sony has just announced the availability of Crystal LED screens. Specifically, the company has presented a 19.2 meter long and 5.4 meter high television. This piece of television has a 783-inch diagonal and offers a 16K resolution.
Sony's eyesore is twice the 8K resolution, offering a total of 16.000 horizontal pixels. Obviously we speak that this screen offers us a resolution outside the standard and that it lacks content. But this is not something really relevant, since this screen is not for all pockets.
Sony sells 16K resolution Crystal LED display
Initially, Sony's OLED screen was developed for cinemas, something completely logical due to the gigantic dimensions. Now the company has been known to market it to consumers through certified distributors. Note that this screen is not a single piece, it is a screen that is sold by 'blocks'
The idea that it is a mountable solution, as if it were a Lego, is the only solution, due to its dimensions. This 16K resolution display is based on a total of 576 buildable modules, for the large model. Sony has created a smaller 18 module model with 1080p resolution. The top model has 72 modules for 4K resolution and the 8K resolution display has 288 modules. The fewer modules, the less dimensions.
Despite the fact that this screen was marketed to everyone, each of the blocks is priced at $ 10.000. So the 16K resolution screen will be priced at $ 5.76 million, which is about 5.2 million euros at the exchange. If you have space at home and you can afford it, you know.
