Creative upgrades its Sound Blaster Katana soundbar

Sound technology specialist manufacturer Creative Technology has announced the launch of the Sound Blaster Katana V2 soundbar. It is a successor to the Sound Blaster Katana, considered by many to be the highest quality gaming soundbar.

This specialized gaming soundbar has been completely redesigned, and is now more elegant, offers 68% more power, presents a wider dynamic range thanks to the holographic technology for Super X-Fi headphones. The properties of the new Katana meet the needs of both PC and console gamers.

A new soundbar for gamers

The Sound Blaster Katana V2 brings together Creative's best audio technologies, and offers 5.1 channel playback. with high-end sound. It maintains the tri-amplified design of its predecessor, so that each of its 5 drivers is individually controlled by its multicore DSP (Digital Signal Processor) controller, patented by Creative. Sound quality has been further improved thanks to its new tweeters, which offer cleaner highs, and a larger subwoofer that offers greater bass performance.

For users who want to enjoy sound but don't want to disturb others, Super X-Fi holographic headphone technology recreates the soundstage of a high-end speaker system in headphones. This technology allows you to experience holographic audio that is customized based on how you hear the sound, and enjoy an unprecedented level of realism.

Thanks to the SXFI Battle sound mode, it is intended to give shooter players an advantage in helping them detect enemy sounds in an immersive environment. There is also the Scout mode, which focuses on sound detection so that you hear your rivals better. Thanks to its integrated Dolby audio decoder, you can enjoy a cinematic sound experience in games, movies and series.

It is also possible to customize the Sound Blaster Katana V2 thanks to the Creative application, so that we can choose between several equalization settings, fine-tune the audio with the Acoustic Engine set, and control the RGB lighting through 16,8 million colors. The soundbar is equipped with a multitude of connectivity options, with HDMI ARC ports and SPDIF optical sound, Bluetooth 5.0 wireless, USB-C port for USB audio support, 3,5mm AUX input and SXFI output for Super X-Fi certified products.
