Petro, the cryptocurrency of Venezuela, is a bad joke and only seeks to steal your cryptocurrencies

Venezuela has launched a full-blown scam in pre-sale with the Petro, a cryptocurrency that was to be ERC20 and that now appears as NEM and that does not validate the slightest data on its website.

The occurrence of Nicolás Maduro, President of Venezuela, to develop his own cryptocurrency, called Petro and which is backed by barrels of oil, from the first moment has sounded like sovereign stupidity. The government uses a double standard or policy around cryptocurrencies, requisitioning Bitcoin miners and preventing Venezuelans from paying with cryptocurrencies, because a bolivar (currency of the country), right now is worth 0.1 $ and has even had a value less than 1 satoshi of Bitcoin.

Yesterday it was known that the pre-sale of this cryptocurrency had started. The companions of DayCryptoTradingThrough a source, they have learned that all this is a real scam and from what has been said to what has been done, there is a very large piece. So much so, that the token was going to be ERC20, based therefore on Ethereum, but the wallet does not exist and the document that explains how to configure it indicates that this cryptocurrency would be a NEM token, therefore, it seems that we are facing a full-blown scam.

If that were not enough, they have investigated the issue and the website enabled by the Government of Venezuela to enter the auction of this token, does not validate even the slightest of the data. If we want to buy it with Ethereum or Bitcoin, we can put the minimum that we want and the maximum as well, more even than the maximum amount of coins that will exist of these two cryptocurrencies in the entire history of the same.

The second step is to say if we are a legal or natural person. This step is even more absurd, because we can put the name we want, even if it is completely incoherent, we can invent the identification number and the '@' of the email is not even necessary, we hit the keyboard until the captcha is enabled, we do it and that's it. It does not validate or verify the smallest data. It's crazy.

Buying Petro, honestly, is to be silly, because it looks like a full-blown scam, a no-purpose major brand. Whoever puts capital, knows that they will lose 99%, and that there is no exchange, so far, that has said that it will accept this token, so later we will eat it with potatoes, because we will not be able to sell it, unless be that it is to another person directly. Crazy.
