PlayStation Now receives Hollow Knight, Persona 5 and Shadow of Mordor

Three very strong games come to PlayStation Now. Sony is putting the meat on the grill to have more big name games.

With the price drop for PlayStation Now and the inclusion of several strong games, Sony has shown that it wants the service to be a fundamental pillar of the console and not just a secondary service. Last month it added God of War, Grand Theft Auto V and InFamous Second Son so that people would see it as more than just a repository for PlayStation 3 games. Three more games were added today but their announcement was very brief.

PlayStation Now receives news

So, thanks to PlayStation now we can download Hollow Knight, Persona 4, and the Lord of the Rings: Shadow of War on our PS5 or stream it. Are these games that have been added to PlayStation now any good?

Persona 5 is by far one of the most successful JRPGs of the current generation and got the franchise started to be recognized outside of narrow niche circles if it hadn't already done it before. Persona 4. Hollow Knight is one of the games inspired by Dark Souls that has managed to stand out the most, with the addition of being made by a small group of Australians and it will be conserved by official organizations of the country. Finally, The Lord of The Rings. Shadows of War is the sequel to Shadows of Mordor that was not very well received due to a certain policy of making users buy loot boxes to get the true ending but then they changed it and it was seen to be a pretty decent sequel.

These games will be available until February 2020, so we will have to hurry a bit to finish these games, especially Persona 5, but it can be done. From what it seems, they want to bring the service closer to what GamePass is, but by introducing a selection of games in rotation, which can help them get more licenses but many players will feel the pressure that they have very little time to finish those games.
