Pokémon Go could receive a new wearable to improve security

Nintendo would be developing a new wearable for Pokémon Go in order to implement more security measures in the game and achieve more success than Pokémon Go Plus.

The title for smartphone Pokémon Go, despite falling quite a bit in the number of users, continues to generate various information. The latest news is the appearance of some second-generation Pokémon, not determined and an update that supposedly improves loading times, although loading still does not work very well. Pokémon Go also has accessories, specifically one, such as the Pokémon Go Plus, a somewhat absurd bracelet that has not been very successful. The new information indicates that Nintendo would be working on a new device, to capture Pokémon safely.

The information was obtained through an interview in the major magazine Asia Nikkei , where Tsunekazu Ishihara, Co-CEO of The Pokémon Company, was interviewed. The interview revealed that the company is developing a new accessory for the popular Android and iOS game. While it wasn't specified whether it will be a new wearable device, speculation also suggests it could be a third-party app designed to make catching Pokémon safer.

Ishihara has spoken about the collaboration of Nintendo with a new device, so that Pokémon Go is from the arrival of this device, to be played more safely. This was supposedly the idea of Pokémon Go Plus, but the limited success of this wearable would have caused Nintendo to seek to develop another more effective utility that is better received by the public.

Niantic today has an obsession with security when playing it, since the notice of 'I am a passenger' does not influence anything if one is driving or not, since the application is unable to detect this aspect. It seems that Niantic wants to implement a new measure, which would prevent the use of Pokémon Go even if you are a passenger in a car. Nothing is known about the device that would be running, but at the rate the game is going, around 2050 we will have the wearable, two or three years after the arrival of the second generation of Pokémon.

Together with Nintendo, we are thinking of developing a new gadget so that it can be played more safely”[/quote]
