AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS even outperforms the Intel Core i7-9700K

The market laptops it is one of the most important, even more than the desktop market. For years this market has been dominated by Intel solutions, But AMD he wants to steal it at full speed. To steal it in a hurry is launched high-performance, low-power processors. These new processors are based on the architecture Zen2@7nm.

During CES 2020 the company announced the AMD Ryzen 4000H and 4000U, a nomenclature that can be misleading. These processors are not based on Zen3 @ 7nm +, they are based on the Zen2 @ 7nm architecture, like the Ryzen 3000. These processors are characterized by having up to 8 cores and 16 threads with a low TDP to offer great autonomy.

The AMD Ryzen 7 4800HS is seen

Now we have seen the interesting Ryzen 7 4800HS processor, whose name indicates that it is a high performance processor. It is characterized by having 8 cores and 16 threads with a base frequency of 2.9GHz that reaches 4.2GHz in Boost mode.

It is accompanied by 16MB of L3 cache and Radeon Vega 8 graphics with 512 Stream Processors and a TDP of 35W. It has a lower TDP than the Ryzen 7 4800H due to being an individually selected high-quality processor.

The benchmark of this processor has also been leaked under the 3DMark Time Spy. This processor has offered a performance of 8730 points, being a superior performance to the Intel Core i7-9700K, which offers 8200 points. But it is also that this processor is even superior to the Ryzen 7 2700X with 8600 points.

We see that AMD has a true and highly efficient laptop beast. This processor, thanks to the integrated GPU, allows you to play games at 1080p resolutions without major problems. Intel may already start releasing 10nm processors for laptops, because they are out of the market.
